Welcome to YMCA PRIMARY TEACHERS COLLEGE,

We place high value on providing our students while fulfilling their dreams of becoming professional primary teachers. We aim to train and produce teachers, education managers and administrators competent to adapt to present and emerging demand for skills, knowledge and practices relevant to educational research and services, to support national, regional, and international development.

Our academic staff are committed to providing our students a rewarding and relevant learning experience. Our academics hold important leadership roles within their professions.

In addition to giving students a firm academic foundation, the college also offers practical career advice and support mainly through school practice which is mandatory to all students.This is intended to make practical use of knowledge and skills they acquire from school.

ADMISSIONS

Students on the grade III teachers’ certificate program are admitted on basically two programs;

THE PRE-SERVICE PROGRAM (Regular Program)

THE IN-SERVICE PROGRAM (Holiday Program)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
O’ LEVEL Certificate with atleast a credit in English and Mathematics, four other passes of which two of them must be among three categories of sciences that include Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences or Agricultural Sciences


ACCOMMODATION
IN-SERVICE-150,000/- PER HOLIDAY (OPTIONAL) PRE-SERVICE-450,000/- PER TERM NB: ACCOMMODATION IS OPTIONAL
