The Bachelor of Fashion and Design program is designed to nurture and develop creative individuals with a passion for fashion and design. This comprehensive program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and industry experience necessary to succeed in the dynamic and ever-evolving world of fashion.
UCE and UACE Certificates with 2 Principle passes, or Diploma from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning in a relevant discipline.
Prospective applicants whose final high school grades are in percentages and average points system e.g. Sudan, DRC, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia and others must have their grades first equated or standardized by Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) before admission to YMCA Comprehensive Institute.
Kenyan applicants for degree programmes should hold either;
The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) holders must have a minimum Grade of C+ and above, OR
The Kenyan Advanced Certificate of Education “GCE or A-levels” applicants must have at least 2 principal passes or its equivalent.

Faculty of Industry Experts: Our faculty comprises accomplished fashion designers, industry professionals, and experienced educators who bring their expertise and insights into the classroom, providing students with practical guidance and mentorship.
Professional Development: Alongside technical and creative skills, the program emphasizes professional development, including communication skills, portfolio development, business acumen, and entrepreneurial skills to prepare students for a successful career in the fashion industry.

NOTE:
A UGX 20,000 NCHE Fee is paid annually and directly to the National Council for Higher Education by the applicant upon enrolment.
Hostel accommodation for male and female students is available at Buwambo Campus at a fee of UGX 550,000 per quarter (Inclusive of accommodation and meals).
All students in the hostel will be required to bring toiletries.
