A Certificate in Fashion & Design is a program designed to provide students with foundational knowledge and skills in the field of fashion design. This certificate program typically covers a range of subjects related to fashion trends, design principles, garment construction, and fashion marketing.
“O” level with at least (5) five passes English Language and Fine Art.

Fashion Design Principles: Students gain an understanding of design principles, including color theory, silhouette, balance, and proportion. They learn to apply these principles to create visually appealing and innovative fashion designs.
Fashion Illustration and Sketching: The program focuses on developing fashion illustration and sketching skills. Students learn to draw fashion figures, render fabrics, and create design concepts through sketches. They gain skills in effectively communicating design ideas visually.
Garment Construction Techniques: Students learn about garment construction techniques and sewing skills. They gain hands-on experience in pattern making, fabric cutting, and assembling garments. They learn about different types of fabrics, stitching techniques, and finishing details.
Fashion Trends and Forecasting: The certificate program covers fashion trends and forecasting methods. Students learn to analyze fashion trends, predict future trends, and apply them to their design concepts. They gain insights into consumer preferences and market demands.
Fashion Marketing and Merchandising: Students explore the basics of fashion marketing and merchandising. They learn about product positioning, branding, pricing strategies, and promotional techniques specific to the fashion industry. Students gain an understanding of fashion retailing and consumer behavior.

NOTE:
A UGX 20,000 NCHE Fee is paid annually and directly to the National Council for Higher Education by the applicant upon enrolment.
Hostel accommodation for male and female students is available at Buwambo Campus at a fee of UGX 550,000 per quarter (Inclusive of accommodation and meals).
All students in the hostel will be required to bring toiletries.
