A Certificate in Plumbing & Fitting is a program designed to provide students with foundational knowledge and skills in the field of plumbing and pipefitting. This certificate program typically covers a range of subjects related to plumbing systems, pipe installation, repair and maintenance, and safety practices.
At least 5 passes at “O” level including Maths and English Language.
Time: 8:00PM – 12:30 PM
1:00AM – 5:00PM
Plumbing Systems: Students gain an understanding of various plumbing systems and their components, including water supply, drainage, and gas piping systems. They learn about the principles of water flow, pressure, and pipe sizing in plumbing installations.
Pipefitting Techniques: The program covers pipefitting techniques and skills necessary for installing, joining, and repairing pipes. Students learn about different pipe materials, fittings, and connections. They gain hands-on experience in cutting, threading, and bending pipes.
Plumbing Codes and Regulations: Students learn about plumbing codes and regulations that govern plumbing installations. They gain an understanding of compliance requirements, safety standards, and permits needed for plumbing projects. Students also learn about environmental considerations in plumbing practices.
Plumbing Fixtures and Appliances: The certificate program introduces students to various plumbing fixtures and appliances used in residential and commercial settings. They learn about installation, repair, and maintenance of fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters. Students gain knowledge of troubleshooting common plumbing issues.

NOTE:
A UGX 20,000 NCHE Fee is paid annually and directly to the National Council for Higher Education by the applicant upon enrolment.
Hostel accommodation for male and female students is available at Buwambo Campus at a fee of UGX 550,000 per quarter (Inclusive of accommodation and meals).
All students in the hostel will be required to bring toiletries.
