YMCA Comprehensive Institute (YCI) is proud to announce a new partnership with the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, and the GROW project.

This exciting collaboration aims to empower women entrepreneurs in Refugee Hosting Districts (RHDs) with FREE training and Business Development Services (BDS) in the fields of Early Childhood Development and Industrial Art & Design.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Eligibility: Open to women doing business in Kampala and Isingiro -Refugee Hosting Districts (RHDs), including refugees and non-refugees. This includes individual female entrepreneurs/managers, groups of women entrepreneurs with related skills or BDS needs, and employees of female enterprises.

  • Locations: Training and support will be available in Kampala and the following RHDs: Kampala and Isingiro

  • Cost: All training and services are completely free for qualifying beneficiaries.

  • Support: The program offers a comprehensive package including:
    • Tailored training: YCI will create customized programs based on individual needs and chosen field (Early Childhood Development or Industrial Art & Design).
    • Free resources: Participants will receive free training materials, meals, appropriate tools, and start up kits for excelling trainees. In residential training cases, free accommodation will also be provided.
