A Diploma in Cosmetology is a program designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in the beauty and skincare industry. This diploma program typically covers a wide range of subjects related to hair care, skincare, makeup application, nail care, and salon management.
A’level Certificate or “O” level plus Certificate in cosmetology or its equivalent.
Hair Care and Styling: Students learn various hair care techniques, including shampooing, conditioning, cutting, coloring, and styling. They gain an understanding of different hair types and textures, as well as the principles of hair care and scalp health. Students also learn about different hair styling tools and techniques.
Skincare and Esthetics: The program covers skincare fundamentals, including skin analysis, cleansing, exfoliation, and facial treatments. Students learn about different skin types and conditions, as well as skincare products and ingredients. They gain practical skills in providing facial treatments and recommendations for maintaining healthy skin.
Makeup Application: Students learn the art of makeup application for various occasions and clients. They gain knowledge of makeup techniques, color theory, facial contouring, and special effects makeup. Students learn to create different makeup looks and understand the importance of hygiene and safety in makeup application.
Nail Care and Artistry: The program covers nail care techniques, including manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements. Students learn about nail health, proper nail shaping, cuticle care, and nail polish application. They also gain skills in nail artistry, including nail designs, embellishments, and nail extensions.

NOTE:
A UGX 20,000 NCHE Fee is paid annually and directly to the National Council for Higher Education by the applicant upon enrolment.
Hostel accommodation for male and female students is available at Buwambo Campus at a fee of UGX 550,000 per quarter (Inclusive of accommodation and meals).
All students in the hostel will be required to bring toiletries.
