A junior certificate in automobile mechanics is a program designed to provide students with foundational skills and knowledge necessary to gain an entry-level position in the automotive service industry. The program typically covers a range of topics related to automobile mechanics.
At least 5 passes at “O” level including Maths and English Language.
Introduction to Automobile Mechanics: Students will gain an understanding of the basics of automobile mechanics, including automotive systems, tools, and materials.
Automotive Technology: The program will cover the principles of automotive technology, including repair, maintenance, transmission, suspensions, and more. Students will learn how to diagnose and repair common automotive issues.
Safety: The program will emphasize the importance of safety in automobile mechanics, including proper use of tools and equipment, and adherence to safety protocols.
Practical Skills: Students will develop hands-on skills in automobile mechanics, including the proper use of hand and power tools, repair of automotive systems, and maintenance of vehicles.
Certifications: The program will introduce students to the various types of mechanic certifications available, including the ASE certification, which is an industry-standard way to test and prove skills as a mechanic.

NOTE:
A UGX 20,000 NCHE Fee is paid annually and directly to the National Council for Higher Education by the applicant upon enrolment.
Hostel accommodation for male and female students is available at Buwambo Campus at a fee of UGX 550,000 per quarter (Inclusive of accommodation and meals).
All students in the hostel will be required to bring toiletries.
