A Certificate in Electrical Engineering is a program designed to provide students with foundational knowledge and skills in the field of electrical engineering. This certificate program typically covers a range of subjects related to electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.
At least 5 passes at “O” level including Maths and English Language.
Time: 8:00PM – 12:30 PM
1:00PM – 5:00PM
Electrical Circuits: Students gain an understanding of basic electrical circuit principles and analysis techniques. They learn about voltage, current, resistance, and power relationships in electrical circuits. Students also learn about circuit components such as resistors, capacitors, and inductors.
Electrical Systems: The program covers electrical systems used in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Students learn about electrical distribution systems, wiring methods, and safety considerations. They gain an understanding of electrical codes and regulations.
Electrical Machines and Motors: Students learn about different types of electrical machines and motors. They gain knowledge of their construction, operation, and applications. Students learn about motor control principles and techniques.
Electrical Measurements and Instrumentation: The certificate program introduces students to electrical measurement techniques and instruments. They learn about using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other tools to measure electrical quantities. Students gain skills in interpreting measurement results.

NOTE:
A UGX 20,000 NCHE Fee is paid annually and directly to the National Council for Higher Education by the applicant upon enrolment.
Hostel accommodation for male and female students is available at Buwambo Campus at a fee of UGX 550,000 per quarter (Inclusive of accommodation and meals).
All students in the hostel will be required to bring toiletries.
